Spoleto USA 2014 is off to a great start, if you couldn't tell by the thousands of people crowding downtown and adding their unique touch of class to our already classy city! We'll assume for the moment that you know what Spoleto is all about (heck, you're probably in town because of it), but just in case, here's the scoop. For its 38th year running, Spoleto Festival USA is a 17 day long event where Charleston hosts performances from some of the world's most talented artists, musicians, and performers... all against the backdrop of our city's beautiful historic venues. There are far too many events and artists to list here, but we've put together a list of the seven performances that we do NOT want to miss! Hope to see you there!

This weekend is Memorial Day so first we would to thank all of our vetrans and those currently serving in the armed forces.  We want you to know we appreciate your sacrafice.  We also realize that there are plenty of things to do in Charleston this holiday weekend.  Everyone is ready for Summer and this is the weekend to kick it all off from beach parties to bbq's.  Oh and throw in the start of Piccolo Spoleto and it can get a little crazy trying to keep up.  So we decided to help you narrow down some of the best opportunities to take advantage of this weekend by giving you our Top 4 picks.

Folly Beach, fondly referred to by locals as the "Edge of America" is known for their good food, expansive beaches, and painted sunrises and sunsets.  If you are looking for something fun to do in Charleston be sure to check out the Folly Beach Annual Sand and Sea Festival.  This event is fundraiser benefiting the Folly Beach Parks and Recreation and Renourishment program.
