Tips for Beginner Flyboarding

When you are looking to try out flyboarding, there are some helpful tips everyone should follow to ensure a safe, fun and exciting adventure on water unlike any other.

Leave it to the experts. Whatever your guide is telling you during training, follow it! Pay close attention to everything he says and don’t deviate from it in any way.

As fun as it may sound to have a beer and go flyboarding, don't show up drunk and don't drink before flyboarding. Wait til after you have had your fun then kick back with a brew and share the stories with your buddies.

If you’re pregnant, that’s another absolute no-no when it comes to flyboarding. Just wait until after baby comes, to keep you and your little one safe until they come into the world.

If there is a high tide or the wind speeds are high, it is not the time for flyboarding. It is much too dangerous in inclement weather and just not worth the risk.

Always wear safety gear, and wear it properly at that. The body suit and helmet should be snug on your body and the boots are critical to keeping yourself safe.

Always make sure you and your waverunner are far enough apart that there couldn’t be potential harm to you.

Balance is crucial when it comes to flyboarding as well. Your guide will know what posture is best to safely be on your flyboard. Always bend your knees forward a bit and stand straight for good balance. Also, make sure your body and mind are both very relaxed, especially the first time you use the flyboard.

Be patient with yourself while you are still learning. Make sure you’re an expert at the basics before you go into expert moves!

Most importantly, never give up. Patience and determination will always pay off and before you know it, you’ll be an expert at flyboarding all the while having the time of your life.
